Hisoka was perfectly capable of becoming serious should he have to be, Chrollo's seen- moments of it, though not the extremes of it. His voice, his posture and sly grace, it was natural just- honest but- dishonest. A truth, but not the whole truth. Hisoka often did it though, he's 'excited' for more than he appears to be in a lot of situations. Though he hides it behind a calm, smile. He's spent years eager over this man and yet hiding it while he sat with him and his 'legs'. He's done this around many people, in many situations.]
[Flamboyant, yes, but perfectly capable of all emotions- even though he- seemed almost completely disconnected from a few of them.]
[He's still a person, still prone to feelings a range.][A range like. Contemplative- even- thoughtful at the word. Afraid of dying? Death? Chrollo killing him? Hisoka wasn't scared of death. But he didn't accept it like Chrollo did. He didn't walk with death as a friend. Hisoka's aware of his mortality, it's what made a fight to the death fun, that possible gamble, the stakes. He wasn't an idiot unaware of how he may die one day. But he wasn't hand in hand with it.]
[So then- wasn't that proof that he was scared of it?]

[That he was so confident of his own continuance, of coming out on top that he never thought of death- never needed to- because he didn't have to being that confident? Was avoiding accepting it fully as a possibility fear?]
[His smile is still there, though small, eyes looking down, staring at Chrollo's lips before he moves in and kisses him. Quiet, soft, closing his eyes for a moment and not- saying anything. He's not about to be honest with him, but- isn't about to lie either. For some reason not really responding feels like the best response.]
